100% Pinot Noir (Clones 115 777 667 828 and Calera selection) hand-harvested and sorted mostly de-stemmed crushed and cold soaked for 2 days in five-ton open-top fermenters with an indigenous yeast fermentation start before supplement midway through cultured Burgundian yeast. One punch-down per day. Malo-lactic fermentation in barrel. Aged 11 months in all French oak barrels (45% new) with no racking. Red-purple color with well formed legs; dry medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium-light phenolics. Clean red fruit and spice Pinot with cola and earth. More Nuits-style Pinot (at least for California). BearScore: 91+.
