Tasting Notes: A nose and a taste of this tells more than a book ever could. The beautiful golden spirit’s aroma releasing honeyed nuts and a slightly sea-induced salty tang. Rich toffee and leathery oak notes can be sensed upon further reading while the palate tells of mellow sherried nuts and shavings of the finest natural oak wood. Its story ends very happily with dry notes interspersed with mixed spices fading magnificently into a light salt and sherry finale.

Unlike most Islay whiskies, this one is not peated, and only has a very, very slight brine taste. This has a great, powerful aroma of toffee and other flavors, and as great as the aroma is, the taste is even more flavorful with toffee, nutty, and sherry flavors. Finish is long and very flavorful, very warming. Overall, this is a fantastic drink!
