The Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Mendocino is excellent. It comes from high-elevation sites and Pinot Noir often overshadows it. This one has savory aromas dried plum cassis blackberry notes of chicory and toasty vanilla on the nose; the flavors on the palate are spicy mushrooms espresso coffee and clove with supple tannins on the finish.
