Monticello Merlot Estate Napa

TASTING NOTES by Winemaker Chris Corley: This wine displays a nice deep garnet tone. The aromas are full and bright with a lively beam of acidity and an appealing hint of lightly toasted oak slight spice and vanilla. On the palate the wine is full bodied with a modest attack. The supple flavors are of classic red fruits. It is well-balanced from front to finish with a well rounded texture on the mid-palate. The wine has a long soft finish with just a trace of brightness and a dash of tannin. Drink now through 2025. FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTION: Mongolian Beef Skewers (with Chile Jam). VINEYARDS VINTAGE & VINIFICATION: 2013 was a wonderful wine-growing season in Napa Valley a true classic. With the exception of a slight heat spike in June the weather remained consistent throughout the 2013 growing season. The vines embraced the easy year by offering ripe fruit characteristics and resolved tannins. This Merlot was grown on our Knollwood Vineyard estate in Oak Knoll District. T
