John Icholson –
I last tried Aberlour 20 years ago, and then it was a very delicate, pleasant but undistinguished whiskey. Aberlour has since really improved their whiskies, and this one is my favorite.
Nose – very nice aroma, sweetish with many flavors (maybe honey and orange?); Taste – spicier flavors (but very soft) balanced with sweetness like raisins, toffee, and some sherry (other unidentified flavors) Finish – fairly smooth, but very warming as the flavors last a good while; Overall – This is a very good whisky, not really a sherry bomb, but a great variety of flavors.
