In our blind tastings you have to spend about double – delamain tres venerable say or ferrand’s abel – to match it. Some 17 years old the xo usually has about 12 components 80% of the volume being brandies distilled from pinot noir. Very complex very elegant very smooth. Using pinot noir shows up in the incredible finish – subtle yet wonderfully deep & rich fruitiness. 40% abv
