In our blind tastings you have to spend about double - Delamain Tres Venerable say or Ferrand's Abel - to match it. Some 17 years old the XO usually has about 12 components 80% of the volume being brandies distilled from pinot noir. Very complex very elegant very smooth. Using pinot noir shows up in the incredible finish - subtle yet wonderfully deep & rich fruitiness. 40% ABV
