Glenrothes 1969 Extraordinary Cask No.11485 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Glenrothes has the pleasure to introduce the second expression from their Extraordinary Single Cask collection the first being the Extraordinary Cask from 1970 which they released in September 2012. The hogshead cask used to create this single malt has yielded just 133 bottles meaning it is almost as exclusive as it is elegant. 42.9% ABV Tasting Notes Appearance: Clear and bright with rich golden hues. Nose: Grassy with herbal tea and verbena; yoghurt and mint giving way to ginger honey cake. Palate: Very expressive and intensely fluid; beautifully-balanced liquorice and barley sugar with the texture of raw silk. Finish: Mouth-watering lemon lime and coriander; Indonesian pepper and yuzu; citrus notes are emphasised by the judicious addition of water.
