This 5-year-old single cask expression is rested full term in Sakura Casks which imparts this single malt whisky with a wonderful floral composition of cherry blossoms. The nose open with scents of mint and a background of plum and dark cherries. Cedar chest and incense round out the aromatic profile. The palate opens with chocolate covered cherries fruit notes and the sweetness and depth of the malted barley. The finish is robust and complex. The chocolate notes linger enhanced with cherry blossom and orange zest with citrus brightness. Non chill filtering makes this finish long and delightful.
