The noble cousin of limoncello best describes this traditional citron flavored drink. Cedro comes mainly from the lake garda area and only its skin is used. The base of this liqueur is made from the basic aquavite made from grape pomace collected within 24 hours of the winemaking process and produced by a double-steam discontinuous distillation process. After an infusion of herbs and fruits the final alcohol content is 29% by volume.
