The Whistler 10-year-old French Oak Finish Irish Whiskey is 100% single malt. Aged in ex-bourbon barrels for 8-years and finished for 2-years in French Sessile Barriques previously used for Grand Cru Bordeaux white wine. The French casks are shaved and toasted for 90-minutes to create fruit flavors of apple white grape lime. Melon hard candy and pepper then vanilla pineapple poached pears in cream and a hint of cocoa. 92 points by Whisky Advocate.
