Three Sheets Rum is made by fermenting organic evaporated cane sugar which is best known as raw unrefined sugar. It is fermented by a proprietary yeast strain and distilled through a custom built hybrid pot/column still. 40% ABV 80 Proof By using raw sugar Ballast Point has obtained a rum of great distinction with subtle sweet flavors. And no they do not add any flavoring to the rum! The aged rum spends its life in a virgin heavily charred American oak barrel much like the fine Bourbons of Kentucky.
