A blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon destemmed but not crushed so fermented with whole berries. Aged 22 months in all French oak barrels (70% new). Deep purple-red color with well formed legs; dry medium full-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium chewy phenolics. Big chewy steakhouse Merlot with ripe dark red and black fruit with notes of earth oak and spice. BearScore: 94.
