From franois despagne of ch. Grand corbin despagne comes this 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc (next to ch. Daiguilhe) fermented in all temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and aged in all french oak barrels (35% new). Red-purple color with well-formed legs; dry medium-bodied with freshly balanced acidity and medium phenolics. Dusty red fruit with some real brightness from the cabernet franc. Hint of graphite. Delicious bearscore: 91+
