Contratto Brut Millesimato

The 2011 milesimato is dry powerful and exciting with the extra brut style lending considerable verve to a set of flavors and textures deeply steeped with the essence of pinot noir. Brisk and very energetic it has plenty of the raciness and chiseled contours that are so typical of great sparkling wine. On the palate chalk graphite red berries and mint emerge. White flowers citrus and crushed rocks are layered into the finish. A serious aperitif wine that is great now and in the next 5 years to come. Vinification: the grapes are handpicked selected and kept separate according to their vineyard location. In the winery they are cooled down before crushing and only the free fall juice is beeing collected. First and second fermentation with indigenous natural yeast. After the first fermentation the wines stay to mature until may after harvest then are blended and bottled for the second fermentation.
