Hayes Valley Vineyards presents a richly layered blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Deep purple in color this wine opens with aromas of black currant cherry vanilla and earthy mushroom notes. The palate showcases vibrant flavors of fresh cherry cranberry rosemary and sage supported by medium acidity structured tannins and a smooth finish. An excellent pairing for prime rib grilled lamb rich beef dishes blue cheeses or chocolate brownies with nuts.
