Vineyard maipo costa valley a fabulous spot where the warmth of summer is in the right measure. Here the abundant sun and the pleasant temperatures are cooled down by a constant breeze and cold nights. The vineyard dates from 1999. This carmenere grows on rolling granitic soil that is drio irrigated from a nearby reservoir. The vines have been planted at medium density using a vsp system with low yields (5 000 to 6 000 kg/ha). The partially shaded canopy helps to obtain a nice tannic ripeness without vegetal notes. Vinification classic fermentation at 28-29ºc w/ regular pumping over and racking based on tasting. Post fermentation maceration for 1 to 7 days. Tasting notes bright red and black color. A ripe and complex wine brimming with spices like clove vanilla and black pepper and fruit notes of plum figs and fruit jam. Interesting aromas of hummus truffles and dry leaves.
