J Christopher Pinot Noir Nuages

Named in tribute to one of winemaker Jay’s favorite gypsy jazz tunes Nuages Pinot Noir is our Chehalem Mountains blend. Nuages (French for clouds) also pays homage to the moderating influence of Oregon’s autumn cloud cover which slows ripening to allow for the long hang time that creates fully developed flavors. The 2014 vintage is sourced from our estate the Appassionata vineyard and the Lia’s Vineyard. 2014 Chehalem Mountains Nuages Pinot Noir A quietly assertive pinot with a dark frame this leads with a whiff of tar and cinnamon stick fruit skin and caramel.
