Jacobs Creek Double Barrel Shiraz

OVERVIEW: Something to savour. The full generous flavours of classic Barossa Shiraz are enhanced by careful use of aged Scotch whisky barrels for finishing. COLOUR: Full depth crimson with bright purple highlights AROMA: Blackberry vanilla and waffle cone with smoky peat notes TASTE A complex palate of plum blackberry and vanilla with charry notes and a beautiful soft finish. ENJOY WITH Wagyu beef aged rib eye with roasted seasonal vegetables or pan seared Scotch Fillet wrapped in smoky bacon. VINTAGE CONDITIONS A warmer spring that usual was ideal for flowering and fruit set. Vintage came early but conditions were ideal producing Shiraz with great colour flavour and tannins. WINEMAKING After blending the wine was finished in old Scotch whisky barrels made from American white oak.
