Louis Jadot Pouilly-fuisse Chardonnay

Vineyards situatio: Located in the southern part of Burgundy at the North limit of Beaujolais area Pouilly Fuisse is the top of the Maconnais wines in the heart of the great whites appellations (Fuisse Pouilly Loche Pouilly Vinzelles and Saint Veran). Characteristics: Pouilly Fuisse is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes. The production is small (700 hectares planted) and cover steep slopes of the village of Fuise Solutre Pouilly Vergisson and Chaintre on which the soils are a mixture of clay and chalk from the Jurassic era. Wine making: One part of the wine is fermented in vats and the other in oak barrels in order to have a fresh and fruity wine with a good structure.
