Tannic and tightly wound this has an astringent resistance but because the flavors are so powerful it's already delicious. Intense notes of raspberry jam cherry pie anisette Dr. Pepper are all present and a rich sweet jacket of smoky sandalwood adds further complexity. Give it 56 years in the cellar but it could last for 15 years if you enjoy mature wines.
