Mcmanis Petit Verdot

Production Notes The fruit for our 2015 Cabernet was harvested between Sept. 28 - Oct. 2nd with an average Brix of 24.5. After 7-9 days of fermentation on the skins the resulting wine was pressed and finished fermentation in Stainless Steel tanks. The wine was then aged on new and used French and American Oak for 4-6 months. Winemaker Notes The 2015 McManis Family Vineyards Petit Verdot is deep eggplant in color. Aromatically the wine is full of Blackberry with some Blueberry. Additional notes of mocha and a faint smokiness are contributed from oak aging. The wine is dense and full of dark berry fruit flavors with a creamy supple mouth feel. Flavors of fresh berries and mocha linger in the finish. - McManis Family Vineyards
