Qaramy Finca Malbec

Qaramy wines are situated in tunuyan mendoza where the vines grow in classic terroir of storri sub soil with a sandy surface at around 1100 metres above sea level. The vines are now reaching nice maturity and plantings in the early 90’s are now bearing exceptional complex rich fruit. Fruit was harvest in the second week of april 2014. It was cold macerated for 6 days and fermented in open fermenters. After fermentation the wine spent 9 months in 1 and 2 year old french oak. The 2014 wine is a deep ruby red with purple tinges. On the nose it is bold and attractive showing aromas of red fruit plum and some peppery spice vanilla and a hint of chocolate. On the palate it has succulent ripe fruit flavors with a juice and slightly chewy texture with plenty of healthy ripe round tannins. Full-bodied with medium acidity and a lasting finish make this a wine that can stand up to almost any meal. – qaramy finca
