Royal Oporto Colheita 2002 is simply put a very special vintage tawny Port from a single harvest of traditional Douro Valley grapes. Made in the tawny port style and aged in barrel for at least 7 years but often much longer until bottling. The 2002 vintage is one of freshness and precision. A cooler vintage that expresses itself in a refreshing way and lighter on the palate than Colheitas from warmer years. Prolonged time in barrel ensures that the wines take on soft almond and walnut aromas. Very fine served on its own or with cheese. Served slightly chilled.
