Both of these stellar vineyards are in the heart of the sta. Rita hills. A wide range of pinot clones are planted on these sites and our 2012 is a blend of 10 of these. 2012 was a perfect growing season which resulted in complex concentrated and balanced wines. This pinot is deep red in color and is bursting with red and black fruits like raspberry and black cherry along with savory notes of cola white pepper and sage. The palate delivers rich berry flavors balanced nicely by acid and tannin structure. The wine was allowed to age in french oak barrels (30% new) for 10 months where it gained concentration and picked up hints of toast anise and clove.
