Valley & vineyard: the grapes come mainly from maipo and rapel valleys which are well reputed for the quality of its red wines. Merlot is harvested in the last week of march while cabernet sauvignon waits until the second week of april. The grapes are mainly mechanical harvested. Fermentation & ageing: it is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 5 days with controlled temperature. Postfermentation maceration takes place over 7 days while malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously. The wine is not barrel-aged but instead is bottled young to preserve the fruit characteristics. Tasting note: cabernet sauvignon – merlot vistana is ruby red colour with purple hues medium to high intensity. Its aromas show a great balance between red fruits such us plums and hints of spice from the merlot. In the palate it is medium-bodied wine with sweet and ripe tannins and well balanced finish.
