Labor Day Cocktails
Send summer off with a delicious bang with these perfect end of summer cocktails! Blood Orange Champagne Mule Ingredients 1 ½ oz. vodka juice of ½ a medium blood orange juice of ½ a lime 4 mint leaves 2 oz. chilled ginger beer Top off with chilled champagne or prosecco Directions Add all ingredients to a glass and top off with a splash of bubbly. Grilled Watermelon Margarita Ingredients 1 oz. Cointreau 2 oz. tequila 1 oz. fresh lime juice 0.5 oz. grilled watermelon syrup 0.5 oz. fresh grapefruit juice Directions Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and fine strain over ice into a Tajin-salted rocks glass (3:1 Tajin to kosher salt). Garnish with lime wheel. How to make grilled watermelon syrup: Cut watermelon into slices and grill until both sides of the watermelon have grill marks. After letting cool, blend with simple syrup (1:1) and then fine strain. Pineapple Spice Ingredients 2 parts Bacardi Spiced Rum 4 parts pineapple juice Garnish: pineapple wedge & leaf Directions Fill a highball or Tiki glass with cubed or crushed ice. Pour in the Bacardi Spiced Rum, followed by the pineapple juice. Give it all a gentle stir. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a pineapple leaf. Whiskey Smash Ingredients 3 lemon wedges 2 oz. bourbon ¾ oz. simple syrup 4 mint leaves Garnish: mint sprig Directions Muddle the lemon wedges in a shaker. Add bourbon, simple syrup, mint leaves and ice, and shake until well-chilled. Double-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a mint sprig. (Firmly slap the mint sprig on the back of your hand before garnishing; this releases the oils to make the mint more aromatic) Walk in the Park Ingredients 1 oz. Don Papa Rum 1 oz. limoncello 1 oz. vermouth blanc Directions When making this cocktail simply pour one ounce of each ingredient, rum, limoncello, and vermouth blanc, into a mixing glass with ice and stir for thirty seconds. Pour into a rocks glass over a large piece of ice and zest with a generous peel of lemon. Leave the lemon peel in the glass and serve. Gin & Roses Ingredients .5 oz. lemon juice .5 oz. rose & peppercorn infused syrup .5 oz. Aperol 5 oz. Tanqueray Gin Directions Combine all ingredients into a shaker. Shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass with cubed ice. Garnish with a rose bud and lemon slice.
