State of Texas Spirits: Texas Whiskey

If there’s one thing we love at Spec’s, it’s a fine Texas spirit. So for this month’s State of Texas Spirits, we’re highlighting Texas whiskey. Here are three premium Texas whiskies that, like all proud Texans, don’t for a second hide where they’re from. These distinct spirits radiate with Texas pride!

Red River Texas Bourbon Whiskey

This bourbon whiskey is made from pure Texas water and is distilled in American charred oak barrels. It is incredibly smooth, with strong notes of oak and sweet hints of vanilla and maple syrup. One of the great things about Red River is its commitment to Texas’ wildlife. With every purchase, a portion of the profits is donated to the Texas Native Wildlife Conservation.

Silver Star Whiskey Texas Honey

If there’s anything better than Texas whiskey, it’s Texas whiskey infused with Texas honey. Harvested in Round Rock, the honey is derived from fragrant Texas Hill Country wildflowers, giving it a flavor and fragrance that is uniquely Texas. The result is a delicious liqueur that can be enjoyed chilled, on the rocks or blended with your favorite cocktail.

Firestone and Robertson TX Blended Whiskey

This blended whiskey is a beautiful auburn color with notes of vanilla bean, oak and pear. Its bold flavors of honey butter, banana, caramel and coffee make for a smooth and long finish. To cap things off, each bottle cap is handcrafted using repurposed Texas leathers from donated cowboy boots. It just doesn’t get more Texas than that!
