Spec’s Honored in the Big Apple

Spec’s was recently recognized in New York City by Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading non-profit for advancing the arts and education.

Each year, the organization recognizes 10 U.S. businesses for their dedication and involvement with the arts that enrich the workplace, education and the community with the BCA 10 Award.

Spec’s was among this year’s 10 honorees for their exceptional commitment to the arts, which includes the Houston Symphony, Houston’s Alley Theatre, Art League Houston, the Austin Symphony, the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas and numerous other arts and education groups.

John and Lindy Rydman, the husband and wife team who own Spec’s, traveled to New York City to accept the award on behalf of Spec’s and toast the efforts of all those who help put the spotlight on arts in our communities.
