Nothing says fall like fresh cider! Whether you prefer it hot or cold, we’ve got some spiked cider recipes that are sure to heat up your autumn.
1. Apple Cider Mule
4 oz vodka
Sliced apple, for garnish
Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
Fill two copper mugs with ice. Pour 2 oz vodka into each cup. Fill 2/3 full with sparkling cider, then top with ginger beer. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Serve.
2. Slow-Cooker Mulled Wine
1 bottle red wine
1 cup apple cider
1 cup cranberry juice
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup fresh cranberries
2 oranges, peels and juice
2 whole cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp whole cloves
1 tbsp star anise
Combine wine, cider, cranberry juice, sugar, cranberries, the peel from 1 orange, the juice of 1 orange, cranberries, cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise in a slow cooker. Stir to combine. Cook on high until warm, about 30 minutes. Serve warm and garnish each glass with a piece of orange peel.
3. Cranberry Ginger Cider Cocktail
½ cup hard sparkling apple cider
1/4 cup ginger beer
½ tsp lemon juice
5 fresh cranberries
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Muddle cranberries in the bottom of glass and fill with ice. Add remaining drink ingredients and serve immediately.
4. Spiced Coconut Rum & Apple Cider Cocktail
Spiced Coconut Rum (or just coconut rum)
Fill a short glass with ice. Add 3oz of apple cider and 1oz Spiced Coconut Rum. Garnish with a couple of apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Use the cinnamon to stir the drink together.
5. Warm Caramel Apple Cider
1½ qts. apple cider
1½ cups Pinnacle Caramel Apple Vodka
Optional-sweetened whipped cream and caramel syrup
Warm the apple cider in a saucepan. Pour into heatproof mugs, dividing evenly. Add 1/4 cup Pinnacle Caramel Apple Vodka to each mug and stir. Enjoy!
