Chocolate chips are delicious morsels that are a key ingredient in dozens of scrumptious recipes from chocolate chip cookies to pancakes to bagels and so much more.
With a flourishing thank you to Ruth Graves Wakefield, we thought we’d honor this sweet creation with a few of our own. Below you’ll find a couple of recipes for adult milkshakes made with chocolate chips!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Kahlua Milkshake
Are you the type of person that can’t just eat one chocolate chip cookie out of the cookie-jar? We can’t either, which is why we love this spiked milkshake. Not only do you get a pick-me-up from the coffee ice cream, you get to seriously indulge with Kahlua and cookies!
- 2 cups Coffee ice cream
- 1½ cups Milk (try vanilla almond-coconut milk for a flavor upgrade)
- ½ cup Kahlua
- 2 Chocolate chip cookies (large, + 1 more to crumble on top)
- 6 Ice cubes
Add all ingredients to a blender and process until almost smooth, leaving some small pieces of cookie if possible. Pour in glasses and crumble more cookies on top. Serve!
