As the leaves turn, our thoughts—and taste buds—turn to the pumpkin beers lighting up our shelves this month. Many October revelers believe pumpkin beers are a recent concoction, but they actually go back to pilgrim times!

Smoked Pineapple Margarita

Ingredients: Directions: Rim a cocktail glass with lime wedge and dip into chili salt. Fill with ice. In a shaker, muddle the lime juice, mint leaves, agave, and pineapple.  Add the tequila, Cointreau and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and mint leaves, as desired.
