Prepare for Independence Day With Patriotic Drink Recipes

It’s time to start getting ready for your Independence Day celebration! Spec’s is ready to help you take your festivities up a notch with these delicious and patriotic drink recipes! Stop by Spec’s to stock up on everything you’ll need.


2 oz Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
4 oz raspberry lemonade
Raspberries for garnish

Add all ingredients in an ice-filled glass. Stir well and garnish with raspberries.

Rockets Red Glare

1 ½ oz vodka
2 oz watermelon juice
½ oz lime juice
Splash of ginger beer
Lime wedge for garnish

Add vodka, watermelon juice and lime juice to a glass filled with ice and stir. Top off with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.

Shining Sea

1 ½ oz tequila
1 oz watermelon schnapps
¼ oz blue curacao
½ oz simple syrup
Splash cranberry juice
1 lemon wedge
1 lime wedge

In a cocktail shaker, mix schnapps and cranberry juice. Pour into a glass filled with ice. Muddle lemon, lime, tequila, blue curacao and simple syrup in the cocktail shaker. Strain into the glass over the red layer and serve.

Yankee Doodle

1 ½ oz vodka
½ oz triple sec
½ oz blue curacao
½ oz sweet and sour mix
Dash of grenadine

Pour all of the ingredients except the grenadine in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a glass. Slowly add grenadine and allow it to sink to the bottom.

Red, White & Bubbly

4 oz sparkling wine
1 oz brandy
2 oz sparkling mineral water
Fresh cherries, blueberries and white raspberries for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a glass, add ice and stir well. Garnish with the cherries, blueberries and white raspberries.

  1. I was in Houston for the 4th-One of the drinks was “Hot Sex”. Needless to say i never got around to trying it. I am from Louisana and found that I can’t find it in LA. I would really like to try it. Tell me what this consist of.Thanks!

    1. Hi Darlene – thanks so much for your question! It’s actually quite an easy recipe. All you will need is 2 1/2 oz of triple sec, 4 oz of orange juice, a splash of grenadine and maraschino cherries for garnish. Just combine the triple sec and orange juice in an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Add a splash of grenadine and garnish with the cherries.
