Pineapples have just come into season, so here are a couple of recipes for luscious libations that’ll make your March! Bright, fresh herbs like basil and mint balance out the sweetness of the pineapple nicely.
Pineapple Basil Cocktail
3 basil leaves, rolled and sliced into strips
¼ lime
¼ cup pineapple juice
1 ½ oz gin
club soda
ice
Muddle basil and lime in the bottom of a highball glass. Add pineapple juice, gin, and ice. Top with soda.

Pineapple Mojito
3 oz aged anejo rum
1 oz triple sec
1 oz pineapple juice
2 slices fresh pineapple
4-5 lime wedges
6-8 mint leaves
Muddle the pineapple, lime, and mint in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice, then add the rum, triple sec, and pineapple juice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.
