Low Calorie Beers

best low calorie beers

A new year is the perfect time to forget about all those resolutions you made last year…which was like a week ago, but that’s not important. What is important is taking a step back, clearing the slate, and making a resolution you can actually keep. Many of us partake in a “new year, new you” mentality. For many, this can mean shedding those few holiday pounds you put on.

So, what’s the point? Well, cutting out beer completely may be an ideal weight loss solution, but it’s certainly not an enjoyable one. What you can do instead is switch to a low-calorie beer, so you can enjoy a brew without feeling blue. Check out these amazing beer options, all with fewer than 100 calories.

Depending on why you are drinking a lower calorie beer, there are four main types that do not compromise flavor and will fit into your lifestyle.

Ultra low-calorie beer is great for the calorie counter. We recommend Budweiser Select 55, Miller Genuine Draft, or Beck’s Light.

Light beers have a few more calories than your ultra low, but still have far fewer compared to a dark or craft beer. Check out Michelob Ultra, Miller lite, or Amstel Light.

Lower-calorie “regular” beer contains 120-130 calories compared to the 150-160 calorie range. Believe it or not, you can drink a 12-ounce bottle of Guiness that has 128 calories. Might we also suggest Bud Ice, Busch, or Corona?

Low-alcohol beers also have fewer calories than many bottles you’ll find. These beers are great if you don’t drink often or a lot, or are enjoying a low-carb lifestyle. We offer both low-alcohol and non-alcoholic selections in our stores.
