Lovely ‘Ritas!

Frozen or on the rocks, with or without salt, exotically flavored or classic, the margarita ranks as one of the most popular cocktails in history—or at least since it began showing up regularly on menus in the 1940’s!

In honor of National Margarita Day, pop by Spec’s to collect the mixings, gather some amigos and sip some lovely ‘ritas!

Purple Martin Margarita
2 oz Tequila
2 oz raspberry liqueur
1 oz cranberry juice
2 oz sweet-and-sour mix
1 oz lime juice

Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Serve on the rocks in a margarita glass, and garnish with a lime slice.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita – 4 servings
6 oz tequila
2 oz triple sec
4 oz limeade
8 oz frozen sliced strawberries 


Fill a blender with ice and crush. Add tequila, triple sec, strawberries and limeade. Blend until smooth. Serve in margarita glasses and enjoy!

Mango-Avocadorita
– 4 servings
¼ cup tequila
2 tbsp Triple Sec
¼ cup orange juice
6 tbsp lime juice
1 cup chopped mango
6 tbsp chopped avocado
2 tbsp sugar
2 cups ice cubes
Lime wedges for garnish

Combine first 8 ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Divide the mixture evenly among 4 glasses and garnish with a lime wedge.
