You can talk about hot weather until you’re blue in the face, but a much cooler diversion is ripe for the picking. Tart, tasty blueberries perk up anything you pop them in. No wonder July spotlights the big punch these little fruits pack.

Blueberry Rum-ba
Ingredients
2 oz rum
¾ oz lemon juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
Splash of ginger ale
Blueberries
Directions
Cover the bottom of an old-fashioned glass with blueberries. Add lemon juice, brown sugar and muddle until sugar melts.
Fill glass with ice and pour in rum. Top off with ginger ale and stir. Cheers!
Blue By You
Ingredients
2 oz white rum
1 oz Blueberry Schnapps
1 cup blueberries
1 tsp sugar (or to taste)
Directions
Place all ingredients into a blender halfway filled with ice and blend well. Pour into a martini glass and enjoy!
Spicy Pineapple Bluegarita
Ingredients
1¼ oz silver tequila
½ oz blueberry vodka
½ oz agave nectar
½ oz pineapple juice
¼ cup blueberries
Pinch of ground chipotle pepper
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions
Put blueberries in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add ice, all ingredients and shake well.
Strain into a glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
