St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, and Spec’s is ready to celebrate! Go beyond green beer with this list of great green cocktails that’ll bring you the luck o’ the Irish!
Everybody’s Irish
2 oz Irish whiskey
1 tbsp green crème de menthe
1 tbsp green Chartreuse
olive or mint sprig for garnish
Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker filed with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the olive or mint sprig.
Leprechaun
4 oz sweetened chilled green tea
1 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
1/2 oz absinthe
lime slice for garnish
Rinse a rocks glass with the absinthe. Add ice. Pour the Jameson’s over the ice, then top with green tea. Garnish with lime slice.
Four-Leaf Clover
2 oz Grey Goose La Poire Flavored Vodka
½ oz St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
3 oz cucumber juice (juice of about 1 cucumber)
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
Lemonade or club soda
Mint leaves, cucumber slices, and lemon zest for garnish
Mix all ingredients except for the lemonade/club soda in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and double strain. Serve in a highball glass with ice and garnish. Top with lemonade or club soda.
Clover Chiller
2 oz UV Sweet Green Tea Vodka
4 oz sparkling water
Lime slice for garnish
Chill a rocks glass and fill with ice. Add the vodka and top with sparkling water. Garnish with lime.
Happy Go Lucky
2 oz white (light) rum
¼ oz crème de menthe
½ oz Cointreau
½ oz lime juice
Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass.
Over The Rainbow
10 mint leaves
1 kiwi, peeled and quartered
1 tbsp sugar
½ in piece of a vanilla bean, split
1 ½ oz silver tequila
1 oz club soda
ice
Muddle the mint, kiwi, sugar and vanilla in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and tequila and shake well. Pour into a highball glass, top with the soda, and stir gently.
Touch Of Mint
1 oz gin
1 tsp crème de menthe
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
