Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Everyone celebrates St. Patty’s Day with a classic Irish stout, but why not mix it up this year with these delicious themed cocktails? Throw on your best green shirt, grab your cocktail shaker and raise your glass to the luck of the Irish!
Pot of Gold
1 ½ oz Irish whiskey
¾ oz Grand Marnier
¾ oz Bénédictine
¾ oz lemon juice
Lemon peel for garnish
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain over ice into glass. Twist a piece of lemon peel over the top and drop into the drink.
Emerald Isle
2 oz vodka
½ kiwi, peeled
½ lime
1 tsp sugar
Cut lime into quarters. Muddle kiwi and lime with sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and vodka and shake well. Pour all contents into a martini glass.
Shamrock Shaker
1 ½ oz vodka
1 oz simple syrup
¾ oz lime juice
1 oz soda water
6 mint leaves
Muddle mint leaves with simple syrup and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Add vodka, fill shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with soda water.
Black Velvet
2 ½ oz stout
2 ½ oz sparkling wine
Pour stout into a flute, carefully add sparkling wine and enjoy!
Irish Shandy
8 oz stout
8 oz lemonade
Lemon wheel for garnish
Mix lemonade with stout in a glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve.
