One of Texans’ favorite signals of summer’s arrival is the appearance of fresh peach stands along roadsides. By all accounts, this year’s peach season is one for the record books. Between the peachy-licious recipes below and Spec’s refreshing selection of peach-flavored vodkas, wines, brandies, whiskeys and bourbons, your palate will get its peach fix in fine style!
Peach Bellini
750ml sparkling wine
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar
6 peaches
Grate peaches into a pitcher. Add sugar and water and chill in fridge until sugar dissolves. Pour peach mixture into each glass and top with sparkling wine.
Peach Cobbler
¾ oz peach vodka
¾ oz hazelnut liqueur
¾ oz heavy cream
Brown sugar & crushed graham cracker for rimming
Rim a glass with sugar and crushed graham cracker. Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain into the glass and enjoy!
Peach Punch
2 oz peach vodka
½ oz elderflower liqueur
½ oz lime juice
½ oz orange juice
Peach slice for garnish
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass and garnish with a peach slice.
