Pre-Pear for Delicious!

While pears are available in the supermarket year-round, varieties like Anjou and Comice pears are at their ripest during the fall and winter months. Take advantage of this sweet winter treat by mixing it up with some of our favorite classic cocktails. No matter what kind of pear you choose, these recipes are sure to be pear-fect!

Pear Collins
1 ½ oz gin
1 ½ oz pear nectar
¾ oz simple syrup
¾ oz lemon juice
Dry sparkling wine to top off
1 spring of rosemary for garnish

Combine pear nectar, simple syrup, juice and gin in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and pour into a highball glass. Top with a splash of sparkling wine and garnish with rosemary.

Pear Cosmopolitan
1 ½ oz pear flavored vodka
½ oz orange flavored liqueur
¼ oz lime juice
1 oz white cranberry juice cocktail
Pear slice for garnish

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a slice of pear and serve.

Pearmaker
2 oz vodka
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz ginger syrup
½ pear chopped, peeled and cored
Splash of ginger ale

Muddle chopped pear in your glass. Stir in the vodka, syrup and juice. Add ice and top with a splash of ginger ale.

Pear Mimosa
¾ cup sparkling wine
½ cup pear nectar
Lime wedge for garnish

Pour sparkling wine into your glass and top with pear nectar. Squeeze lime wedge and drop into glass.
