This list from the beer aficionados at Spec’s covers the full range of hoppiness from least to most hoppy, and from unusual twists on classic brews to the tops in traditional beers, but only goes from light to medium body beers – no heaviness in these brews!
Shiner Ruby Redbird – Brewed with Ruby Red grapefruit and ginger, the unique flavor of this super light brew is both polarizing and refreshing. A light, tart, sweet classic from one of Texas’ favorite breweries.
Mana Wheat by Maui Brewing Company – This tropical-tasting wheat beer is a great twist on traditional witbier, brewed with Hawaiian pineapple instead of
the traditional coriander and orange flavors. Light and refreshing.
Real Ale Hans’ Pils – A traditional German-style pilsner, with more hoppiness than a pale ale, plus an herbal spiciness that adds complexity but still refreshes.
Boulevard Brewing Single-Wide IPA – This classic IPA is one of the best deals at Spec’s. It’s a great example of IPA grapefruit pith flavor, intensely floral and hoppy, with a medium body.
