Here are this week’s must-have wines. We love food, so all these wines have an addition of suggested pairings. And, at all under $15, you won’t hurt your wallet.
Ch Bonnet Blanc
A perennial Spec’s favorite, this white from Bordeaux is a juicy, lively and fresh Sauvignon Blanc. Had this recently with some avocado slices and Marcona salted almonds. Truly scrumptious!
750ml $9.49
Alan Christopher Rosé Sparkling
Bright pink in color, slightly dry with flavors of strawberry and cherry, this sparkling wine is the kind you don’t want to put down. Try as a starter, or take it all the way through dinner. Great with sushi!
750ml $7.99
Dom Sarcin Cotes du Rhone
A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, aged 12 months in tank. Dry, medium to full-bodied, with a flavor of ripe red fruit and quite a bit of earthiness. Not as light as some Cotes du Rhone, but a wonderful glass of wine to enjoy with our grilled lamb chops.
750ml $9.49
Pietra Santa Zinfandel
Bold and earthy, this Zinfandel from Paso Robles is a bomb! In the glass you’ll find ripe cherries, plums and a nice oak flavor. Intense and deep, this wine will do well with a rough decanting. Try with pasta bolognese. Super!
750ml $13.29
