Summer may be coming to an end, but it ain’t over yet. Thankfully, National Rum Day gives us one last taste of this endless summer!
Here are a couple of interesting rum recipes to help you kick back and soak up the sun while celebrating this great liquor.
Aloha
Ingredients
1 ½ oz spiced rum
¼ oz falernum liqueur
¼ oz lemon juice
¼ oz passion fruit syrup
¼ oz grenadine
Dash of Peychaud’s bitters
Directions
Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass and enjoy!
Spicy Pineapple
Ingredients
1 ½ oz aged rum
1 ½ oz pineapple juice
¾ oz spicy ginger syrup
½ oz lemon juice
Dash of Angostura & Peychaud’s bitters
Pineapple leaf for garnish
Directions
Pour ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake well.
Strain into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a pineapple leaf.
