Memorial Day Cocktails
Blackberry Mojito
makes 2
Crushed, ripe blackberries give this mojito a tart-sweet kick.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Blackberries
- Handful fresh mint leaves
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 tsp Sugar
- ½ cup Light rum
- Crushed ice
- Club soda
Instructions
- In a small bowl, muddle blackberries. Set aside. Place mint leaves in bottom of glasses.
- Divide and spoon blackberry mixture on top. Add rum, sugar, and lime juice and stir to combine. Top with crushed ice.
- Add club soda and garnish with mint leaves and more blackberries.
Trouble Maker
Ingredients
- 4 slices English cucumber, plus more for garnish
- 2 Strawberries, plus more for garnish
- 1½ oz 1876 Texas vodka
- 1 oz Bonal (French aperitif)
- ¾ oz Simple syrup
- ¾ oz Lime juice
- Seltzer
Instructions
- Muddle cucumber and strawberries.
- Shake vodka, Bonal, simple syrup, and lime juice.
- Pour over a Collins glass and top with seltzer. Garnish with half strawberry and cucumber slice.
Red, White and Blue Slush
This festive, Memorial day cocktail sports red, white, and blue and looks much like a ‘bomb popsicle’ from your childhood.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Finely crushed ice (to slush consistency)
- ¼ oz Blue curacao liqueur
- 2 oz Lemon-flavored vodka, divided
- ¼ oz Raspberry flavored liqueur (we recommend Llords)
Instructions
- Place half the ice into a bowl; divide the other half of the ice between 2 bowls (¼ cup of ice in each).
- Place blue curacao liqueur and 1/2 fluid ounce of lemon vodka into a bowl containing ¼ cup of ice. Mix well.
- Place raspberry liqueur and ½ fluid ounce of lemon vodka into the other ¼ cup of ice and mix well.
- Mix the remaining 1 fluid ounce of lemon vodka into the bowl containing ½ cup of ice.
- Layer the blue curacao-flavored ice into the bottom of a glass.
- Place the lemon vodka-flavored ice over the blue layer; top with the raspberry-flavored ice.
