Are You For Real? Alcoholic Popsicles are a Thing?

Of course we’re for real. Popsicles with alcohol in them are totally a thing! And since it’s summer, the unofficial official season of popsicles, we wanted to share some recipes we have for these sweet treats.

Feel Like Having a Margarita Pop?

Everyone loves a frozen margarita. So it’s only natural that some turned them into popsicles. Try these for your next summer get together. All your guests will thank you!

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ Cup of Fresh Lime Juice
  • 14 oz. of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • ¼ Cup of Tequila
  • 2 tbsp of Orange Liqueur
  • 2 Cups of Frozen Mango
  • 2 Cups of Fresh Strawberries
  • 4 Limes (Cut into 15 slices)
  • 15 Paper Cups
  • Margarita Salt for Garnish

Directions

  1. To make the margarita base, stir the lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, water, tequila, and orange liqueur together in a large glass.
  2. Divide ⅓ of the mixture into 5 paper cups.
  3. Pour ⅓ more of the margarita base into a blender. Blend with frozen mango until it’s smooth and creamy. Divide this mixture into 5 different paper cups/
  4. Rince blender then pour the remaining margarita base into it. Add strawberries and blend until it’s smooth and creamy. Divide mixture into the last 5 paper cups.
  5. Insert a popsicle stick into the center of each lime slice and top on each cup. Make sure there is no room between the mixture and lime slice.
  6. Freeze into solid. (5 hours at least and up to overnight)
  7. Cut open the paper cups and peel them away from the popsicle when you’re ready to serve.
  8. Garnish with a sprinkle of margarita salt.

Want to Make Summer Memories with a Boozy Rocket Pop?

Has there ever been a more iconic popsicle than the Rocket Pop? Just saying it out loud evokes memories of childhood summers of chilling by the pool. Now, we’re adults and it’s time to make new summer memories with a boozy Rocket Pop.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Softened* Raspberry Sorbet
  • 1 Pint (4 Cups) of Softened Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 oz. of Blue Curacao
  • 1 oz. of White Rum

Directions

  1. To make the first layer, fill each popsicle mold with the raspberry sorbet until it reaches about one-third of the way up.
  2. To make the second layer, mix 2 cups of vanilla ice cream with white rum. Put the mixture into the popsicle molds until this new layer reaches about two-thirds of the way up.
  3. To make the third later, mix the remaining cups of vanilla ice cream with the blue curacao. Put the mixture into the popsicle molds until the molds are filled completely.
  4. Freeze the popsicles for 4 hours, or until frozen.

Is It Time for Strawberry Mojito Pops?

Yes it is! We’re chilling the classic mojito cocktail to give it a summertime makeover that’ll certainly be a hit at all your parties.

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup of Rum
  • ¾ Cup of Chopped Strawberries
  • 2 Cup of Limeade
  • 4 oz. of Fresh Lime Juice
  • 8 Mint Leaves (Chopped)

Directions

  1. Mix together all ingredients and then evenly divide mixture into popsicle molds.
  2. Chill popsicle molds in the freezer until they’re slightly frozen. (about 20 to 30 minutes)
  3. Add wooden popsicle sticks and freeze overnight.
  4. Run warm water over molds to loosen popsicles and serve.

Want to Feel Like You’re at a Theme Park? Try Dole Whip Pops!

Sometimes you want a Dole Whip but can’t make it to Anaheim or Orlando to visit a Disney park. Well fear not, we’ve found The Happiest Boozy Popsicle on Earth recipe for you.

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups of Frozen Pineapple
  • ¾ Cup of Coconut Milk
  • ½ Cup of Coconut Rum
  • ¼ Cup of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 oz. of Toasted Shredded Coconut

Directions

  1. Blend frozen pineapple, coconut milk, rum, and sweetened condensed milk in a blender until it’s smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into popsicle molds and top with toasted coconut. Then, place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup. Freeze for about 5 hours or until frozen solid.

  • ½ Cup of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ½ Cup of Whole Milk
  • ¼ Cup of Unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder

Directions

  1. To make the first layer, whisk the coffee, Baileys, and sweetened condensed milk in a medium-sized bowl until well-combined. Then, divide the mix between 10 popsicle molds, add popsicle sticks, then freeze for at least one hour or until firm.
  2. While you’re waiting for the first layer to freeze, you can make the second layer. To make this, whisk the condensed milk, whole milk, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl until the cocoa powder is dissolved and the mixture is well-combined. Once the first layer is frozen, you can divide the second layer into the 10 molds.
  3. Return the mold to the freezer until frozen (about 4 hours). Before serving, run the molds under warm water to loosen the pop.
