After years of enjoying the hops-mania that’s been surging in the beer community, cider is coming in as a real game changer and palette cleanser. Gluten free, dry and sweet, and so, so easy to drink – the cider side of craft and local beer is what Apples to Apples is here to explore!
Woodchuck Sangria Cider
Being a man, you’re not really expected to enjoy certain things; Facials, Appletinis, Sangria…
Well it’s 2019 and things are different!
I introduce you to Woodchuck Sangria – a sweet, citrusy, wine-esq cider. This summer-friendly sipper is brought to you by the fine people of Woodchuck Hard Cider in Vermont, who’ve been making solid “Grown-Up Juice” since 1991. Thay’re the Real Deal. Cider OG’s.
Admittedly, the first sip is a bit of an intense rush of sweetness, but soon after that, hints of orange and cherries arrive leading into a tartness reminiscent of the tannins found in wine-based sangrias. Chill over ice or serve it cold in the can! This fruity cider is one to drink when fun is the only goal of the evening.
